Breathwork

Emotion is experienced physically in the body and it impacts and alters our breath.  You gasp when you are unexpectedly shocked, your heart races with anxiety and excitement and your breath becomes fast and shallow, sometimes leading to hyperventilation known as a panic attack.  When you are depressed, you breathe less, longer and slower.

I am an accredited Breathwork Coach offering optional breathwork as part of your psychotherapy.  Breathwork supports you to understand your breathing pattern and how to take control and regulate your breath.  Your breath is the only way you have of over-riding your Autonomic Nervous System.  It is a powerful tool enabling you to take control and transition into a place of calmness and safety.

I can teach you breathwork techniques and I have recorded breathwork scripts to support your therapeutic journey if you are open to working with me with breathwork.
